To God be the glory! Great things He has done! That is exactly what I think of when I think of all He has done at Hiland Park Baptist Church over the last several years!

Sunday after Sunday, we see folks saved, converts baptized, and families changed.  Also, the ministries of our church continue to be a blessing to both our community and our church body.  I am so thankful we took a step of faith several years ago and built new facilities for those yet to come.

Yet, with this growth comes the challenge of paying for our new facilities.  Since our current monthly income must be used for our operating budget, we must now focus on a solution to maintain the positive mission and ministry of Hiland Park.  In the past, we have facilitated our debt retirement through special stewardship campaigns such as “For Those Yet To Come” and “The 2econd Mile.”  Our church family has been so faithful to participate in these campaigns and I am asking you to consider being a part of a new campaign.

“The Journey Continues” is the name chosen for our new stewardship campaign. We believe that with God’s guidance, this ministry will fulfill the financial needs of our church. As part of our “The Journey Continues” program, every household is asked to prayerfully consider making a sacrificial commitment—over and above your ongoing tithes and offerings—to be given over the next three years. We hope to raise the necessary funds in order to move forward in our ministry. As you can see, “The Journey Continues” is an important step to our future, and your involvement impacts its success.

Let me encourage your attendance on Sunday, October 14th. During this special service you will learn more about my vision for Hiland Park Baptist Church and  “The Journey Continues” campaign. We will discuss the importance of church-wide prayer during this crucial time, and we will share information about our church and its ministry.

These are exciting days of decision in our church. Let us commit to seek and act in God’s will. To the glory of God, we will move ahead with faith.

In Christ’s Name,

Pastor Steven
